How to Get the Most Out of Your Healy

This post discusses how to get the most out of your Healy device when you have MCAS or another chronic illness.

I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and I have been using Healy for several months to deal with my symptoms. Before using Healy I was waking up every 30-60 minutes all night long, and frequently also awake for several hours in the early morning. My inflammation was flaring, and I had plateaued and wasn’t making progress with adding foods back into my diet anymore.

After I started using Healy I have steadily been sleeping better, my inflammation is under control, and I’ve made some dramatic changes in my diet that never seemed possible before.

What is MCAS?

Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) is a chronic condition that affects all organ systems. MCAS is serious and disabling and people with MCAS experience often significant and debilitating symptoms daily, including anaphylaxis, which can be fatal.MCAS is often found in combination with other chronic conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).

Frequently healthcare providers do not know about MCAS, and the tests for MCAS are problematic because they are not uniformly reliable. MCAS can be difficult to manage. Treatments include blocking mast cell mediators with anti-histamines and mast cell stabilizers, as well as avoiding triggers. Check out this post on how to manage MCAS.

What is Healy?

Healy is an individualized specific microcurrent device (ISM) that uses an app on your phone to control which programs you want to run. Tiny amounts of healing current are delivered to your body and energy field through a small device that you can clip to your clothing.

This post discusses getting started with Healy.

This post discusses the pros and cons of Healy.

This post covers using Healy for MCAS.

Getting the most out of your Healy

How can you get the most out of your Healy? Here are my top recommendations:

  • USE INTENTION! Healy works on the power of intention. Set an intention every time you start up your device! I admit I’m quick to just turn it on and start a program, but when you use intention with Healy the power is magnified!
  • Watch videos from Healy World. They have a wealth of information about how to get started and tips and tricks for using Healy.
  • Get help from a pro. I’m available for quick chats to help you get started, and you can schedule a session to get all of your questions asked!

Hacks to get the most for your money with Healy

Here are the ways I’ve found to get the most out of Healy.

  • If you have a specific health issue you want to address buy the Healy Gold edition (it’s the cheapest) and then purchase third-party custom programs for your specific issues. You will need to purchase third-party programs from vendors in Europe or the UK where Healy is more widely available. Custom programs, called Expert TAN programs, cost between $35-85 depending on how many programs are combined in the specific custom program and the current exchange rate. The three third-party vendors I’ve used for custom programs are Jaz at Lotus Healing Frequencies, Yvonne at Bewust Gezond in the Netherlands, and Brid Hanlon.
  • If you have a chronic condition and your funds allow it, I recommend getting two Gold editions. That way you can use one to run custom programs and the other to vibrate combinations of programs the Healy recommends for you in the blue app. This is the cheapest way to send yourself the most frequencies while making sure one unit charges while the other one is working.
  • If you want to have all of the Healy programs and/or intend to use Healy in your profession, then get the Healy Professional edition. Then you will have all of the available Healy programs and you can use them individually. Depending on the monthly special the price of the Professional edition costs between $2500-$4000.

The bucket theory

The bucket theory offers a helpful analogy for understanding symptom reactions with MCAS.Think of your body as an empty bucket that you want to keep from overflowing. Different foods and activities fill your histamine bucket at different speeds but they combine to form the total level of histamine in your body (how full your bucket is). A fuller bucket means you have more histamine symptoms. When you manage triggers, reduce exposure to known triggers, and take medications and supplements to reduce histamine, you can manage the level of your bucket.

Know your typical symptom progression

Knowing your symptom progression in a symptom flare is the key to developing your own rescue plan. In this post, I discuss how to determine your own symptom progression. Once you know what typically happens in your symptom progression you can design a rescue plan to address those symptoms.
