Backpackers Hummus

Equipment

  • 1 Mylar zipper pouch or similar sealable bag
  • 1 5 cc oxygen absorber packet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp garbanzo bean flour
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp ground coriander
  • 1 packet crystalized lemon juice powder

Instructions
 

  • combine all of the ingredients in the mylar pouch. Add the oxygen absorber and close the pouch. Use a warm iron set on "Cotton" to seal the pouch for longer freshness.
  • To make the hummus on the trail, open the pouch and add 1 tbsp of olive oil and ¼ cup cold water. Stir to combine and allow to sit for about ten minutes before consuming.
