4cupssprouted crisp rice cereal
4tbspbutter or Earth Balance
1tspvanilla
Instructions
Line an 8-inch square pan with baking paper. Measure out the crisp rice cereal and the optional chocolate gems and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat then add the marshmallows. Reduce the heat to low and stir to prevent them from clumping or burning.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Moving quickly, add the rice cereal and stir to combine. Press the mixture into the prepared pan, being careful not to smash the cereal.
Allow the bars to set for one hour and then cut into squares. Serve immediately or freeze in individual servings for later consumption.
